She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the College of Wooster. She completed her externship at Colorado Ear Care in Denver. As an undergraduate student, she also earned a certificate in animal audiology and enjoyed testing the hearing of puppies, a horse and a walrus while in school, as well as African elephants on a research trip to South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside of work, Laurel enjoys outdoor activities such as water and snow skiing, hiking, horseback riding and working out. She also plays the guitar and enjoys reading, going to the lake and spending time with family and friends.
